realme unveils 15,000mAh smartphone battery and built-in cooling tech at Global Fan Festival

realme’s Global Fan Festival is a yearly celebration of the brand’s growing community, now numbering over 300 million users worldwide. Beyond music, performances, and fan activities, the festival has also become a stage for realme to reveal its latest innovations. This year, the company announced two new smartphone technologies aimed at addressing common pain points for users: short battery life and overheating.

15,000mAh battery breakthrough

At the event, realme introduced its largest smartphone battery yet — a 15,000mAh ultra-high-density pack built with full-silicon anode material. The company claims this is the highest energy density ever achieved in a smartphone battery, delivering significantly longer runtimes.

In real-world use, the battery can reportedly power a device for up to five days on a single charge, support 18 hours of continuous video recording, and deliver up to 50 hours of video playback. This development highlights realme’s push to address “battery anxiety,” especially among younger users who rely on their devices for content creation, streaming, and gaming.

“Aircon inside”: new cooling technology

Alongside its battery breakthrough, realme also unveiled the Chill Fan Phone, a concept device that introduces what the brand describes as a “built-in AC inside.”

Using thermoelectric cooling technology, the system can reduce core temperatures by up to 6°C, helping maintain smooth performance during demanding activities like extended gaming sessions on titles such as Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact.

Availability

While these technologies were showcased at the Global Fan Festival, realme has not yet confirmed when — or if — they will be integrated into commercial smartphones. Both the 15,000mAh battery and the Chill Fan Phone cooling system remain early demonstrations of what the company is developing for future devices.

realme FanFest in the Philippines

In the Philippines, the anniversary was marked with FanFest 2025: REALmix, headlined by local band The Juans and featuring performances, activities, and fan stories. A highlight of the program was the Real Soundtrack Songwriting Contest, where AZ Alcantara emerged as the grand winner with the track “I Am Real.” Alcantara won PhP 300,000 and the opportunity to have the song professionally recorded as the official soundtrack for realme’s upcoming holiday campaign.
